We are excited to announce ToraShaout — a platform we built from the ground up that connects Zimbabwean fans with their favourite celebrities for personalized video messages. Whether it's a birthday shoutout from a musician you grew up listening to, a graduation message from a comedian who always made you laugh, or wedding wishes from a gospel artist whose songs mean the world to you — ToraShaout makes it happen.

Why We Built This

Zimbabwe has incredible talent. Musicians, comedians, actors, gospel artists, athletes, influencers, and business leaders who have shaped the culture. But there has never been a simple, local way for fans to connect with these personalities on a personal level.

Platforms like Cameo exist in the US, but they don't serve Zimbabwean celebrities or accept local payment methods. We saw an opportunity to build something tailored to our market — a platform that understands how Zimbabweans pay, how they communicate, and what moments matter most to them.

ToraShaout is 100% built, owned, and operated by Statotech Systems. Every line of code, every design decision, every integration — this is our product.

How It Works

The experience is straightforward:

  1. Browse talent — Explore 500+ verified celebrities across categories: musicians, comedians, gospel artists, athletes, influencers, and business figures.
  2. Book a video — Tell us who the message is for, what the occasion is, and any personal details you want the celebrity to mention.
  3. Pay your way — Choose from EcoCash, OneMoney, or card payments. Pay in USD or ZIG — your choice.
  4. Get your video — The celebrity records your personalized message. You receive it via WhatsApp or download it directly. 7-day delivery guaranteed or your money back.

The Numbers So Far

Even in preview mode, the response has been overwhelming:

  • 500+ verified talent onboarded
  • 10,000+ videos delivered
  • $2M+ earned by talent on the platform
  • 4.9-star average rating from fans

These numbers validate what we believed from the start — Zimbabweans want this connection with their celebrities, and celebrities want a simple way to monetise their personal brand beyond traditional gigs and endorsements.

Built for Zimbabwe, From the Ground Up

Every technical decision was made with the Zimbabwean market in mind:

  • Dual currency — USD and ZIG support because Zimbabwe's economy operates in both. Fans and talent can choose what works for them.
  • Mobile money first — EcoCash and OneMoney aren't add-ons. They're primary payment methods because that's how most Zimbabweans transact.
  • WhatsApp delivery — We deliver videos via WhatsApp because it's where Zimbabweans spend their time. No app to download, no account to create just to receive a gift.
  • Low bandwidth optimisation — Videos are compressed for fast loading even on slower connections. The platform itself is built with Next.js for server-side rendering, meaning pages load fast regardless of device.

The Tech Behind ToraShaout

For the technically curious, here's what powers the platform:

  • Frontend — Next.js with React, server-side rendered for SEO and performance. Responsive design that works on everything from a budget Android phone to a desktop browser.
  • Payments — Custom payment integration layer that unifies EcoCash, OneMoney, and card payments into a single checkout flow. Handles dual-currency conversion and reconciliation.
  • Video pipeline — Automated upload, compression, quality check, and delivery workflow. Videos are optimised for WhatsApp sharing without losing quality.
  • Talent dashboard — Celebrities manage their profiles, set their own rates, track earnings, and fulfil requests through a dedicated portal.
  • SEO & structured data — Schema.org markup for every talent profile and booking, making the platform discoverable on Google.

What ToraShaout Means for Statotech

ToraShaout is more than a client project — it's our own product, built with our own vision. It proves that Statotech Systems doesn't just build software for others. We identify opportunities in the Zimbabwean market, build the solution, and bring it to market ourselves.

This is the model we're building towards: a technology company that both serves clients and ships its own products. ToraShaout is the first. It won't be the last.
